On September 20, 2024, the Pump It initiative continued its mission to enhance local skateparks with a hands-on workshop at Birżebbuġa Skatepark. This event was a collaborative effort, where young people came together to install new ramp that have been funded by Pump It , which were also set up in preparation for the upcoming Urban Sports Festival.
Beyond improving the skatepark’s infrastructure, the workshop provided an opportunity for youth to engage in creative expression. Together, participants added new graffiti artwork to the park, further cementing the space as a hub for self-expression and community engagement.
By actively involving youth in both the development and artistic transformation of their own spaces, Pump It continues to foster a sense of ownership, empowerment, and pride in the local street sports community.
