POP & Ride is a youth-led project by the Malta Street Sport Alliance (MSSA) that gives young people the opportunity to design, build, decorate, and activate portable BMX and skate ramps that will be used at community events across Malta.
This isn’t just about building ramps. It’s about building skills, confidence, friendships, and creating something that will inspire other young people to get involved in street sports.
Whether you’re into BMX, skateboarding, scooters, art, or simply want to learn something new, POP & Ride is your chance to be part of something different.
Workshop Details

What You’ll Learn
Throughout a series of practical workshops, participants will gain hands-on experience in:
🛠️ Ramp design and basic carpentry
🔧 Safe use of tools and workshop practices
🎨 Graffiti art and creative finishing
🤝 Teamwork and project collaboration
📅 Event planning and community engagement
You’ll work alongside experienced mentors while helping create equipment that will travel around Malta during youth-led pop-up events.
Who Can Apply?
We’re looking for young people who are:
- Passionate about BMX, skateboarding, scooters or street culture.
- Interested in learning practical skills.
- Creative and willing to work as part of a team.
- Ready to contribute ideas and make a positive impact in their community.
No previous experience is required. Just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
