Youth-led street sports project launching this summer
MSSA is launching POP & Ride, a new youth-led street sports initiative that brings together creativity, action, and community through BMX and skate culture across Malta.
From June to September, selected participants will work together at the MSSA Hub at MCAST, Paola to design, build, decorate, and activate a series of portable BMX and skate ramps that will later travel to communities and schools around Malta for pop-up youth events.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in:
- Ramp design and basic carpentry
- Tool safety and workshop skills
- Teamwork and collaboration
- Graffiti art and creative expression
- Event planning and community activation
The project will culminate in a series of youth-led pop-up events later this year, bringing street sports directly into local communities.
