On August 28, 2024, Pump It – Żejtun Roadshow brought together local youth, sports enthusiasts, and community leaders for an inspiring event at the Żejtun Skatepark. The initiative aimed to promote active lifestyles, strengthen community bonds, and highlight the role of public spaces in youth empowerment.

A key highlight of the event was an engaging discussion with Żejtun’s Mayor and the councilor responsible for youth and sports. The conversation focused on how skateparks and similar spaces can serve as platforms for positive youth development, offering safe environments for self-expression, skill-building, and social inclusion.

Beyond discussions, the event featured street sports activities and tryouts, giving attendees the chance to experience BMX, skateboarding, and other urban sports firsthand. A hands-on workshop allowed participants to refurbish the skatepark, demonstrating the importance of taking ownership of community spaces and fostering a sense of responsibility.
