On September 28, 2024, the Pump It Roadshow made an electrifying stop in Valletta, bringing the energy of street sports to the heart of the city during the Science in the City Festival. Against the breathtaking backdrop of Malta’s capital, the event attracted a diverse crowd, uniting science and sports in an exciting and educational experience.
One of the event’s unique highlights was the fusion of BMX stunts and physics. As riders performed thrilling tricks, volunteers from Science in the City helped explain the science behind the movements, breaking down concepts like momentum, gravity, and balance in real-time. Meanwhile, the Malta Skateboarding Association (MSA) led an engaging skateboarding workshop, allowing festival attendees—especially youth—to try out the sport firsthand.
