Join Us at the 2nd Urban Sports Festival: Uniting Passion and Skill

Get ready to witness the adrenaline-pumping excitement of the urban sports scene at the eagerly awaited second edition of the Urban Sports Festival, brought to you by MSSA in collaboration with Birzebbuga Local Council, Malta Tourism Authority, Malta Trust Foundation, Agenzija Zghazagh, Malta Skateboarding Association, Leap Squad, Move Malta and Street Elements. Mark your calendars from September 29th to October 1st for an unforgettable weekend of non-stop action!

What to Expect?

 BMX: Push your limits as you catch air and master daring tricks on two wheels. Competitions for all skill levels will showcase both foreign and local BMX talent from around the island. Competitions: Game of Bike, Bunny Hop and Park Competition with Best Trick.

 Skateboarding: Witness gravity-defying flips, spins, and grinds as skateboarders conquer challenging ramps and tricks. From beginners to experts, everyone’s welcome to showcase their skills. Game of Skate, Olie and Park Competition with Best Trick

 Scooter: Feel the wind in your hair as scooter enthusiasts demonstrate their freestyle moves and compete for top honors in the park competition on Saturday.

 Parkour: Marvel at the art of movement as athletes navigate through our parkour setup with fluidity and precision. Parkour competitions will leave you in awe of the human body’s capabilities.

 Hip Hop: Groove to the rhythm as dancers light up the stage with their dynamic moves and creativity in the Hip Hop dance competitions.

 More to Explore: But that’s not all! The festival will feature a variety of other sports that will be released close to the date. Ensuring there’s something for everyone. Keep an eye out for the complete schedule, to be released in the coming weeks.

1v 1 Panna: Show off your soccer skills in the intense Panna battles.

The Urban Sports Festival is more than just a showcase of extreme talent; it’s a celebration of unity and growth. With competitions designed to challenge and inspire, the festival nurtures the passion and skill of every participant. By fostering connections within the street sport community and providing a platform for the youth, the festival plays a pivotal role in advancing their journey towards excellence.

 A Look Back: First Edition Success:

Last year’s inaugural edition left us awe-inspired as over 160 participants showcased their prowess across various activities. The overwhelming response solidified the festival’s place as a staple in the urban sports calendar. With this year’s second edition, we’re raising the stakes even higher, promising even more thrills, spills, and unforgettable moments.

 Evening Entertainment:

As the sun sets, the excitement continues! Join us on Friday night for a local Hip Hop showcase, lighting up the stage with rhythm and flow. On Saturday night, immerse yourself in the electrifying beats of Dubstep and Drum and Bass. The festivities will run from 9pm onwards, adding a vibrant nightlife experience to the already action-packed festival.

 Competitions for All:

Whether you’re a novice or a pro, we’ve got you covered. All competitions will feature both beginner and advanced categories, ensuring that everyone can participate and challenge themselves at their level. Competition entry fee is €5 per day.

 Free and Open to the Public:

The Urban Sports Festival is open to all members of the public, free of charge. Bring your friends, family, and fellow sports enthusiasts to share in the excitement and cheer on the competitors as they strive for greatness.
