In 2021 MSSA collaborated with Redbull Malta to organise two Full Moon Events, which are part of an international series of events that are taken place around the world on different full moons. This was a unique opportunity to showcase Maltese talent at an international level.
The first event took place at Mtahleb Car Park and was turned into a Skatepark to host the Redbull Full Moon Game of Bike/Skate/Scooter.
The event was a massive success and we are very happy to have seen some of the ramps meant for our Street Sport Festival come to life! We started of with the Game of Bike were, Gianni Zahra won his battle against Karl Naja. Shaun Alfalah took the Game of Scoot after a fierce competition with Daniel Grech.
The event was then closed off with the Game of Skate, with Brandon Tonna winning the male competition and Donna Montana the females against Levi and Venice Castrogiovanni respectively.
The Second Event took place at the the Malta National Stadium in Ta Qali where we organised a game of 1v1 Panna. For this event we had 4 national Maltese Women take place and 4 male participants. The winners of the male competition was Peter Kaepernick and Rachel Cuschieri took the win in the Womens Catergory. It was a great opportunity to organise our first Panna event and we are hoping to organise more Street Football Events.
